MISC - NOW THIS, "Why we need Women's History Month".

In US news and current events today, we need women's history month more than ever. March is dedicated to women's history month, but the national recognition has only been since 1982 — when Congress deemed March 7th as Women's History Week. Five years later, the National Women’s History Project petitioned for a full month to properly honor our trailblazers.

As a women I can relate and I feel a connection with my perspective. When I see how the world is we notice how women have been discriminated and have gone through a lot just because of their gender. No person in general should be discriminated for their gender or for what they are. Although, women have gotten more right and justice because they have the opportunity to vote and work they yet haven't reached all equality. Women should be valued at all times and they should be dedicated because us as women know that we run so many risk and that we have done so much and yet not received as much. So yes I do feel…

This video connects with this MISC because they are both about Women's Day/Month. Only difference is this is in Mexico. Women in Mexico have felt anger, sadness, and rage for generations for how our women have been treated. There's this saying that says, "If one mother cries, we all cry with her." That shows how us girls are connected and tired of the same treatment we've been getting for years. Just because in one country are women are better off that does not mean this fight is over. It can be scarier for other girls in other countries.

I kind of disagree with MENDOMIS001

In their comment, they said that they believe that women should have their own month because they have done a lot of good change to our society and that they should be appreciated more. I do agree with those statements, however, I disagree that there should be a Women's History Month without having a Men's History Month. This is because if Women's History Month is for the world to appreciate what women have done to make this world better, men should also be appreciated. The modern world we live in now was built by both men and women, however, it was started by men. Men created the foundation of the society we…

I disagree with gutiejar001 because we understand it would be fair if we had a Men's history month but we are talking about women. We don't always need to correlate women with men and this is exactly why we need a women's history month to only focus on men. I understand men started things but once again why when we try to appreciate women men always have to be brought up for what they have done for our world? This is why i disagree with you because women shouldnt have to worry about only getting appreciated if they think about men first. Women deserve to have a womens history month.

This MISC reminded me of this iconic song of Tupac called "Keep Ya Head Up." The song was released in 1993. Tupac wanted to address issues like misogyny and uplift women. Not only that but it promotes love and respect for women. There's this one line in this song that will forever haunt me because of how good it is, and it says, "Time to heal our women, be real to our women; and if we don't, we'll have a race of babies that will hate the ladies, that make the babies." It is extremely important women have a month dedicated to them so we can acknowledge our women and teach our future generations just how important/valuable they…

Women's History Month, observed in March, is a crucial celebration that highlights the contributions, achievements, and struggles of women throughout history and in contemporary society. The recognition of Women's History Month since 1982, when Congress declared the first week of March as Women's History Week, demonstrates a growing acknowledgment of women's significance in shaping our world. This month serves as a reminder of the often-overlooked roles women have played in history and emphasizes the importance of gender equality. It is a time to honor the trailblazers who have broken barriers and paved the way for future generations. Women's History Month is not just about celebrating the achievements of a few; it is about recognizing the diverse experiences and…
