Blogging Assignment

To ensure that your comments are tracked and graded properly, it is critical that you are using the following guidelines when posting comments:

  1. On the first line of your post, include the box number from the bingo board and your teacher's name.  For example: if you are attempting box #14, your first line should read - #14 (Teacher's Name)

  2. Skip a line before starting your post.

  3. If you are responding to a previous comment, after the box number, include @(username) of comment you will be responding to. If you are not responding to anyone, just comment as normal. Click the heart icon for the comment your are responding to so they can read your response.

  4. When adding media (photos or YouTube clips), click the corresponding images in the left-hand side of the comment box to include the media in your post. Do not just include a link.

  5. Review the comments before yours to ensure you are posting a fresh idea into the thread, especially when posting images and videos. If your content repeats something from a previous post, you will not receive credit for your post.

General Commenting Suggestions

When commenting, it is important to keep in mind that this is both public (meaning will be seen by various other students and teachers) and that it is professional (as it will count for points in class).

 

This being the case, please consider the following guidelines for posting:

  • Your writing should be formal in nature. Avoid slang and use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

  • Re-read your post and edit before submitting. 

  • Make sure your comment is related to the topic.

  • Ensure that your comment meets the specific requirements to earn credit. 

  • If you are replying to a certain comment or comments, make sure to specifically reference that content in your post.
